- Abstract
- This study investigates the effect of Ti-6Al-4 V powder particle size on relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties after sintering via hot isostatic pressing (HIP) below the β-transus temperature with three type of powder size distribution. As particle size was smaller, the strengthening effect was induced by solid solution of oxygen and precipitation of nano-sized β phase. Thus, in the view of particle size this study proposes the strengthening mechanisms during HIP treatment of Ti-6Al-4 V. © 2025 The Author(s)
