This study explores the performance of Dual Rotor type Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (DR-IPMSM) for Electric Vehicle drivetrains. The research investigates how the number of poles and the geometric configurations like diameter and lamination length affect motor characteristics for emphasizing the improvement of torque density and power density. By employing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS), the analysis examines the influence of each rotor design variable with the arrangement of permanent magnets of both the inner and outer rotors for torque, power, and efficiency.
