초록

This chapter develops a theoretical model based on institutional logic to elucidate the collaborative dynamics among cooperatives beyond self-interest or their inherent characteristics. The study aims to identify shared values and practices conferring legitimacy and fostering cooperation among cooperatives. Based on a literature review on interorganizational collaboration, inter-cooperative cooperation, and institutional logic, this research highlights how diverse internal procedures emerge within organizations through member acceptance and validation, leading to various forms of inter-cooperative collaboration. Cooperatives are more likely to collaborate when their values and practices are aligned. The primary contribution of this study is to offer a conceptual framework that enhances the understanding of inter-cooperative collaboration from an institutional logic perspective. This model enriches the discourse on cooperative dynamics by illustrating how shared values, practices, and legitimacy facilitate cooperation. In addition, the study provides practical insights for practitioners, emphasizing the significance of aligning values and practices to strengthen cooperative relationships.
