Approach for Integrating Real-time Service-Oriented Architecture in Automotive Networks

This study proposes a system for realizing Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) by integrating Scalable service-Oriented MiddlewarE over IP (SOME/IP) and Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) in automotive networks. The automotive industry is becoming increasingly complex due to the development of autonomous driving technologies and the introduction of various sensors, which increases the need for communication systems that guarantee high-speed connectivity and data loss prevention. The proposed system facilitates a crucial role in ensuring time determinism of traffic via TSN in Ethernet-based networks and providing a flexible service-oriented architecture via SOME/IP. This is instrumental in improving the Quality of Service (QoS) of in-vehicle data exchange and meeting the specific requirements of SDV implementation. Through experiments, we have verified that service-oriented traffic transmitted over the combined architecture of SOME/IP and TSN has an average jitter performance within 17.12μs.
