초록

With the increasing share of power electronic-connected DC generation, such as renewable energy resources and DC loads (e.g., data centers and electric vehicles), the existing AC network is approaching or has already reached its grid capacity limits, especially at the distribution level. Consequently, utilities are increasingly seeking to transition to the next-generation power network, the DC distribution network. The DC distribution network can expand the integration capacity of distributed power sources (i.e., the number of distributed resources in the network can accommodate within operational constraints), reduce conversion losses for DC sources, and enhance the distribution network’s flexibility. The DC distribution network will bring many benefits. However, DC distribution networks differ from traditional AC networks, necessitating extensive research to realize them.
